March 1994 - Eikon Device Inc.™ was Incorporated.
September 1994 - we began the research and development on a needle specifically for tattooing.
October 1995 - with our testing completed, we were the first company to manufacture and market a short taper, coarse ground needle specifically for tattooing. With the release of our needles, we published the first in a series of technical reports that outlined the results of our research during product development.
May 1997 - we expanded our focus to include other technical aspects of tattooing, and began to develop and source products for the prevention of cross-contamination. In keeping with the success of our previous public-ations, a report 'Prevention of Cross-Contamination in Tattooing' was published to further address the growing concerns in the trade.
Late 1997 - our market grew considerably to include sales in 14 countries worldwide. This began the most significant research in machine function which led to the development of the Eikon Meter. The meter was developed as an instrument to measure the effect of spring thickness on machine performance.
Summer 2000 - we developed and introduced our Tru-Spring™ armature bars. We are the only company selling a wide range of innovative armature bar designs complimented by springs in various materials and thicknesses. Our findings on the effects of armature bar weight on machine function was published in a report entitled 'Armature Bars'.
Summer 2001 - we published the premier issue of Machinegun™ magazine. This is the only publication focused on the mechanical aspects of the trade and distributed only to professional tattoo artists.
May 2004 - 10th Anniversary - Thanks to all of our customers for their continued support, and to all of our employees who have helped to make Eikon a success.
