Recap from the Road: Saskatoon Tattoo Expo 2019

April 15, 2019   |   By The Eikon Team

The first show of our tattoo convention season was April 12-14, 2019 at the Prairieland Park in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This was our second year attending the @SaskatoonTattooExpo and it felt great to be back in Sask, so much so that it felt just like another day at the shop. This show saw a mix of steady walk-ins and collectors back to get work done from their favorite artists, the vibe and family-like atmosphere made this a convention to truly remember.

Chris Wenzels life celebrated

Speaking of family, this was an emotional show as the wife and family of tattooist Chris Wenzel celebrated his life by unveiling his preserved body suit, fulfilling his final wishes in front of his friends, fans and fellow artists.

If you weren't able to attend the Saskatoon Tattoo Expo, here is just some of the art and artists you missed.

Blast from the past

And as if this show wasn't enough fun on its own, a blast from the past was on hand to sign autographs and make us laugh. Thanks @SpencersPennyRice for keeping us laughing since 2001!

Shout out to...

Finally, a Big Thank You to show organizer Keith Loster for inviting us back and making us feel at home, people were happy and Saskatoon came alive that weekend!!!
